CC: The pants that started a Keto Challenge

I’m using this post as a journal for my Ketogenic journey: a short-cut to loosing 10-20lbs, so I can fit into the tailor-made pants that my mom sent from Nigeria. Unfortunately, my mom is unaware of my recent weight gain [+18lbs]. When she asked how I liked my new pants, my reply was “OMG, they are the dream”— the kind of automated response you loathe from bots dropping comments on popular IG posts.

For those who are unfamiliar with Keto: it is a low-carb, fat rich eating plan that deprives the body of glucose, and in turn triggers the process of Ketosis [a metabolic process]. Ketosis is the crux of the diet: as the absence of glucose [which comes from Carbs] triggers the breakdown of fat. So, my goal is to loose at least 20lbs and use this period to educate myself on healthier eating habits in order to maintain my #bodygoals.
